Muffin a.k.a. Franklin
Franklin was one of our hard-luck cases. Franklin was in and out of the Humane Society for more than 2 years. He was adopted and then returned on a couple of occasions because he just didn't quite fit in with his new families. We were beginning to think Franklin would be with us forever. But then one day a woman was on our doorstep when we opened at noon. Moyralyn had driven all the way from New York just to meet Franklin! Here is her story.. My Maine Coon Buddy Bear was killed last summer by a hit and run cop on his way to a call. I was devastated and missed him terribly. He was my best bud, he would talk to me... Coming home from work to an empty house got old fast so I started searching Maine Coon Rescue website to find a new 'bud', I looked at pages of cats and none looked just like my bud until I came across Franklin. His photo was so close to Buddy's so on Aug 2nd I drove the 250 miles to Mt Vernon OH to get him and the rest is history. I think he is happy here, he lives alone with me no other cats. I have been thinking of getting a kitten for him but not decided for sure yet. "Muffin" aka Frankie, still steals towels from the bathroom so I gave him one of his own and it stays by his food, I wash it every time I do laundry : ) I have to hid my dirty sox as well or they end up over his food dish! He bites my feet when I leave to go to work, he does not like me leaving. He also does not like me carrying him up to bed at night he likes to come up on his own. If I carry him he gets angry and bites my feet! He has a foot fetish lol either that or he just hates being called Muffin...lol He won't eat any treats for me & I have tried them all. He only eats Meow Mix Indoor Blend! He drinks a lot of water and during the day sleeps in my guitar case! He runs for the kitchen when I pick up my guitar to play, I think he was hit by something wooden in his past. He also hates the vacuum! He is not allowed out doors but I have an enclosed front porch where he spent a lot of time in the warm months, he's looking forward to spending time out there again as he meows at the door to go out there when the sun shines. He's not up to cuddling yet but I'm optimistic for the future. He is loved, very loved. He's a joy for me and I hope I for he. Moyralyn & Muffin, aka Franklin
